Mason’s in love and being a traditional kind of guy, expects traditional kind of things; like rings, rice, and church bells. Rebecca’s in love too, although she prefers to think of it as ‘in lust’. Oh, she wants him, badly, although if it’s all the same to him she’ll just skip the church and rice bit and go straight to the blazing hot sex.
Mason is a reasonable man, most of the time; at least that’s what he tells himself. He is determined to change Rebecca’s mind but as his frustration level sky rockets he begins to realize he might be a little less reasonable than he thought. Oh, he’s willing to give her blazing hot, it’s just not going to be the loving she wants, it’s going to be on her sweet bottom and he’s pretty sure it’s going to be fun.
“Married…..” Rebecca sank against the dresser in total shock, her eyes wide with disbelief. “You think because we made love last night we should get married? People don’t marry everyone they sleep with. Is this to assuage some form of guilt… because if it is you’d better know right now I’m not into human sacrifices, especially mine?”
“First of all I refuse to be just someone you slept with,” he all but shouted, hanging on to his temper by a gossamer thread. “And secondly, did it ever occur to you that we didn’t use any protection last night…that you could be pregnant?”
“Women have been having babies since the beginning of time Mace, some of them even manage to do it without a man,” she shouted back.
“Not my baby,” he shot at her before she could continue. “My child will never have to worry about that even if I have to paddle his mother’s behind all the way to the J.O.P,” he finished with a shake that sent her curls dancing.
