If you're not familiar with blog hops, it's where a group of authors get together to share a little bit about either a book they've written or something they are working on, WIP (work in progress). We have limited space, 8-10 sentences, so hopping around from blog to blog doesn't take long and you get to read lots of little previews. Maybe you'll find something that catches your attention or a new favorite author. Hey, you never know.
At the bottom of each page should be buy links for the book or maybe a little about the author. There should also be what's called a Linky List so you can click on an author's name and hop right over to their blog without going back to the Sat Spanks Site.
So hop around, have fun and enjoy yourself. Please feel free to leave comments as you hop along. We love that!
Today I'm sharing a few lines from my newest release, Just Her Luck. It's a D/D romance about a young women who finds herself in dire straights after meeting a man on the internet and driving thousands of miles only to find out he's not at all who he portrayed himself to be.
Stranded in Upstate New York with no money, no weather appropriate clothing and a car that just bit the dust after smashing into a substantial pick up truck she's S.O.L. as the saying goes, (shit out of luck).
Not that she's ever had any. No, Roberta, Babe to her friends, has been plagued by bad luck since the day she was born. So this situation is no surprise to her, but it seems remarkably upsetting to the man who's brand new truck she just plowed into.
Chas, a true old-fashioned hero in a pick-up truck takes her in and their relationship takes some surprising and very sexy turns.
Here's a snippet:
“Look, if you’re so pissed off why don’t you just spank me and get it over with,” she hissed, glaring at him.
“For your information you don’t get spanked when you want to, you get spanked when I want to spank you unless we’re fooling around, which I can assure you we’re not.”
“I don’t want to get a spanking, but I don’t want you mad at me either,” she insisted.
“And that is precisely why I won’t touch you now. I’m so mad I could chew nails. In other words I’d like nothing better than to pick up that hairbrush and teach you a thing or two about personal responsibility for your own safety. However, if I do I’ll blister your ass and I’m not talking figuratively, I’m talking literally,” he informed her harshly. “Now get out to the kitchen and eat the sandwich I made for you,” he ordered, pointing in the direction of the other room.
“You know, I don’t think I like you anymore,” she said. Sniffing, she tilted her chin up and began to march away, hiking up the nightgown so she didn’t trip.
“And I think I’m falling in love with you,” he shouted back over his shoulder as he headed down the hall. “How’s that grab you!”
