Welcome to my blog. Today I'm participating in the Saturday Spanks Blog Hop.
If you're not familiar with blog hops, it's where a group of authors get together to share a little bit about either a book they've written or something they are working on, WIP (work in progress). We have limited space, 8-10 sentences, so hopping around from blog to blog doesn't take long and you get to read lots of little previews. Maybe you'll find something that catches your attention or a new favorite author. Hey, you never know.
At the bottom of each page should be buy links for the book or maybe a little about the author. There should also be what's called a Linky List so you can click on an author's name and hop right over to their blog without going back to the Sat Spanks Site.
So hop around, have fun and enjoy yourself. Please feel free to leave comments as you hop along. We love that!
Martha is the final book in The Marriage Market series. I'm not going to post the blurb/description as it's quite long. Suffice it to say that the brides are dwindling as they each find the man of their dreams. Martha, Clara, Mary, Jane and Elinor are the only ones left and Martha is beginning to doubt she'll ever marry. Ethan's ardor has cooled ever since the tragic accident that nearly claimed the lives of Suzanna and Effie in Suzanna. He has doubts of his own regarding Martha's suitability as a bride.
“I have heard you and your friends talking. You want to form a group where you will end up antagonizing the men who like their liquor. That is not me, Martha, but others will not take to it. There will be danger there as well, yet you think I should sit by and let you have your way in all things. Other wives will join your group and there will be trouble.”
“No, now you will listen to me. It is I who will have my way. When we marry and I tell you not to do something, you will obey me. I will not worry about finding my wife half dead because she thinks she knows best. Do you understand? I will not let you be a target for drunken men as you march through town with your banners condemning men who will be our neighbors, our friends.”
Thanks for stopping by. Now that you're here, feel free to come back and visit anytime. You might want to check out some of my other pages such as My Books or my Widowhood blog. Clicking on The Marriage Market picture above will take you to my Amazon Authors Page.
Here's the Linky List to continue on your hop. Happy Saturday!
