Today's guest author is my friend, Katherine Deane, sharing an excerpt from her newest book: Cassie and The Fire Captain. When twenty-four-year-old Cassie Stevens meets Eric Waters, her town’s hunky new fire captain, she assumes he is way out of her league. Cassie isn’t a beauty queen like her mother, and a mature, no-nonsense man like Eric would never be attracted to a fun-loving tomboy like her, especially considering her penchant for getting herself in trouble. So it comes as a shock when he stops by the diner where she works, steers her out of an altercation with some rude customers, and promptly asks her out on a date. It doesn’t take Cassie long to realize that she has finally met the man of her dreams, and Eric seems to enjoy her sense of humor and playful ways. But after she pulls a foolish prank on him during their first date, he takes her over his knee for a spanking, and she quickly discovers how much a man’s firm hand can sting when applied to a naughty girl’s bare bottom. Eric’s attention and affection make Cassie feel more loved than she has ever felt before, and despite her sore bottom, his discipline leaves her aroused and yearning to be his. But just as she’s about to give him her heart, it seems he’s no longer interested. Can Cassie put aside her fears and trust Eric, or will her doubts set off a chain of events which will tear their relationship apart? Here's a hot little excerpt: The sounds of the wet, stinging spanks almost threw her over the edge. She reached her hand between her legs, grinding against her fist as he spanked her again and again. “I think you like being spanked with your arousal all over your bare bottom,” his voice sounded hoarse and low. Was he as turned on as she was? She wiggled her bottom and pressed it up higher, so his fingers connected with her wet pussy lips. “God, Cass, you’re killing me.” He groaned, and pulled her to stand, pressing her forward at the hips. “Bend over, and don’t you dare come without me.” He quickly shucked his pants and donned a condom. “I’m sorry, honey. I know I promised you conversation and wine, but I need to have you now.” In response she spread her legs and lifted her bottom. “We can talk later, and wine is overrated.” This is a copy of the review I left for this book on Amazon: 5.0 out of 5 stars I love a Happy Ever After February 6, 2015 By Stevie MacFarlane Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase This was such a sweet book. It has spice and mischief along with romance. Cassie and Eric are perfect for each other. I love that while he's dominant in some ways, he's also incredibly supportive and doesn't try to change her quirky personality. In most books I find myself rooting for the spunky little heroine, but in this one you're rooting for them both. I love a HEA, but you just know that Cassie hasn't had her last spanking when you close the book. You can find this book on: Buy on Amazon Barnes and Noble AllRomance Kobo
