![]() Don't worry, it's nothing serious. I've just decided to go a more traditional way with this book. Here's the deal: First of all, putting a book out is hard work. Lots of hard work over and above the hours and hours devoted to actually producing a good story. It also requires hours of promotion and 'pimping' your work so others will buy it and say, "Hey, this is a pretty good book." I'm happy to say that, In This Lifetime: Morgan's Journey, did pretty well. It had 12- 5 star reviews on Amazon, not an easy feat by any means, and a fairly good ranking. Unfortunately, this does not always translate into sales. The bottom line for me is, you cannot sell to those you cannot reach. I don't have a huge following, although I'm extremely grateful to all who have supported me, written to me and in general tried to get my name out there. That being said, I do not have the network to make this book fly off the shelves. Thankfully, there are people who can make that happen, so Morgan is in the hospital at Stormy Nights Publishing where he is getting a makeover of sorts. A new cover, new title and the kind of promotion he deserves. This book will then be part of the wonderful collection of books that Stormy Night publishes and I'll have a whole new group of authors to add to the friends I've made at Blushing Books and elsewhere. For some of us, in the end it comes down to what you want to do with your time. Is writing your main focus? Do you have the hours in the day and the tremendous drive and energy required to promote yourself all over the web? I have to say I don't. Some of you know that my life is not all peaches and cream. I want to write stories about hunky spanking men and the feisty women who love them. I want to write about big loving families with all their trials and tribulations. I want to write hot sex scenes and outrageous dialogue. I'll still be around. You can't get rid of me that easy. I'll blog a bit and hit Facebook when I can. I've always answered every email and that's one of my favorite things to do, so keep writing to me. Mainly I'll be working on Mead's story and Matthew's, not to mention Annalise, Marilee, Jane and Fancy. I can't wait to get to Fancy's book, lol.
